Good Morning Team,
This year seems to be flying by and it’s hard to believe we are wrapping up summer and beginning to prepare for the home stretch of 2021. Like many of you, this time of year marks many transitions in my household. Our youngest son has returned to Athens, GA for his junior year of college, and our oldest is moving into his own apartment, starting his career and beginning the next step in his journey.
Change and transition can be difficult, but life is about new beginnings. And, fortunately, this is something we have always embraced at OneDigital. As I shared at our recent Townhall, our willingness to embrace transform and evolve our business over the past 20 years has brought new ideas, growth, and innovation. I’m entering this next chapter with such pride and confidence as we emerge from these challenging times with so much strength, resilience, and opportunity. In addition to the special culture that unites us as ONE, our continued success will be grounded in our desire to think differently about the future. We are finding new ways to guide our clients and wrap ourselves around them with Benefits, HR, Retirement, and a variety of other services. We also strive to introduce new solutions to address the challenges in this country’s healthcare and financial systems. As we look to live up to our brand promise, a significant part of this innovation must come through technology.
Since our inception we have proudly embraced technology, advanced our platform, and evolved the way we operate our business. But, to fully embrace our “Digital” roots and drive real progress for our clients and the industry, it’s time we hold each other accountable and commit to investments in true innovation.
Our technology team deserves huge credit for their work and leadership in getting us to this point. They also deserve additional investments, a refreshed approach, and a commitment from across the organization to truly embrace this innovation. That’s exactly what we plan to do as we have begun to lay out near-term opportunities for improvement and a longer-term roadmap to transform our business through technology. Earlier this month we shared some of these plans with our board of directors, and they share our excitement and financial commitment for our path ahead. In the coming months, we will make several announcements, both internally and externally, about new leadership, new product opportunities, and a new mindset to embrace our “Digital” promise.
I’d like to use my monthly message today to share just a few advancements that speak to our refreshed approach and exciting direction. Beata Rogala joined our leadership team after many years of leading technology projects and platform buildouts on the carrier side of our business. In a short time, Beata has made a significant impact on our approach as we look to more strategically connect and transact business with our carrier partners in the future. I’m also excited to announce and welcome Vinay Gidwaney as OneDigital’s Chief Product Officer. Vinay brings a unique set of knowledge, experiences, and innovative mindset that will complement our Executive team in ways our organization has not previously experienced. Vinay’s focus will be to add talent and resources to our strong team of current developers as we commit to building new products and software solutions for our clients and the industry. And finally, later this month we will launch our search for our Chief Information Officer who will partner with Vinay and our existing technology team as we look to improve our internal operating platform, continue to drive efficiencies through the use of technology, and harness the powerful data we have across our business.
Team, these are just a few initial updates and I look forward to sharing more news soon. I’m incredibly excited about our road ahead and the potential of this organization. It’s only through a desire to embrace change and new opportunities that we can drive true progress. We are Innovators and I can’t wait to experience the full potential of OneDigital with all of you.
