Wear Blue Day is celebrated every year on the Friday of Men’s Health Week. This year, Wear Blue Day falls on this Friday June 15th. This day was created by the Men’s Health Network to encourage men to live longer and healthier lives and promote community support.
Some men are taught at a young age told to “suck it up” if they do not feel well or that if “you don’t feel bad, you don’t need the doctor”. In fact, men make ½ as many physician visits for prevention as women. Men can go undiagnosed for years after a problem emerges and by the time they are diagnosed it is often too late for treatment. By wearing Blue, you can show your support in the importance of men’s health and encourage preventative treatment.
To show your support we challenge you to #ShowUsYourBlue this Friday! Snap a quick selfie or group photo and send your submission to show that OneDigital is behind Men’s Health Month and Wear Blue Day.
