How To Get Through A Tough January

January 10, 2018

January is holiday hangover month! People are recovering from the holidays. They're paying off bills, they're trying to get into shape, and they’re setting New Year's resolutions in attempt to take charge of their health and their wealth. The good news is that January is only 1/12 of 2018. By February you’ll be back in your comfort zone and will be ready to take on the rest of the year. In the meantime, here are some tips to get you through the rest of January.

Load Up On Vitamins

Our bodies lack Vitamin D as the days grow shorter. You may get to work in the dark and leave in the dark. You need help giving your body all the positives that the sunshine gives. Go to the store and pick up a multivitamin, especially those with Vitamin D and Calcium.

Don’t Let Short Days Get To You

Take walks after work with a flashlight! Grab a warm jacket, hats, gloves, maybe your dogs and get moving. You’ll feel less sluggish and exercise actually helps you sleep better at night leading to a more productive day.

Get Back On a Budget

Let’s face it, you spent more than you usually do last month which is normal. Break the need to spend by avoiding online shopping and end of season deals. Also be sure to set up automatic payments or pay one sum to get those credit cards back to $0.

Remember, things do get easier. If you follow these tips, you’ll be right where you want to be by February!
