A Better Way to Budget

March 7, 2017

Did you know that only 32% of Americans keep a household budget? We know the positive correlation between keeping a budget and saving money – but life is busy and there’s a lot to keep track of. Luckily, there’s an app for that: Mint. This personal finance app (and its website version) helps you create a budget that makes sense for you.

Your profile in Mint can automatically sync with your financial institutions, putting all your financial information from bank account balances to credit card statements in one easily-accessible place. You’ll also be able to see your bills and account balances together, making it easy to schedule payments on the spot.

Are you able to face the fact that you could be making frivolous purchases too often? Mint allows you to see a breakdown of your spending and set budget goals on a recurring basis. You can also receive alerts for unusual charges, ways to improve your spending and get your free credit score.

It’s no wonder Mint is a part of our BeWell program, but did you know you can get points just for downloading it? Upload a screen shot before first quarter ends to your Sonic Boom Rewards Tab for proof.

Of course, this isn’t the only way to boost your personal finance this quarter – you can increase your 401K contribution as well as open a savings account for anyone in your family.

Click here to get it from the App Store or here from the Google Play. Don’t just apply Adam’s March Message, Be Prepared, to your professional goals. Preparation is also key in terms of your financial well-being.
