A couple years back, OneDigital’s corporate office made a commitment to its employees to double donations throughout the year. Our GIVE (Give, Inspire, Volunteer, Encourage) program matches any employee donation from $50 to $500 to any 501(c)3 charity of your choice.
In 2016, OneDigital donated a total of $14,675, and this year to-date, we are up to $10,770 matched! With the holidays around the corner, this is the most popular time to give money to those in need. It could be a national organization or something that comes in direct contact with your community. There’s a bit of paperwork involved to make the match happen, and you must submit it within 60 days of your donation.
We are humbled to support the organizations that are most impactful and important to you. Don’t forget to take advantage of this opportunity that allows extra dollars to go into the pockets of those in need.
It’s hard to understand how your money impacts an organization or the people they’re benefiting. We were excited to find a few 501(c)3 organizations that tell us where your donation of $100 goes:
- Food banks can provide 1000 meals
- 100 trees can be planted by The Nature Conservancy
- 50 children’s books will be distributed by Reading Is Fundamental
- Doctors Without Borders can purchase 3 first-aid kits, 24 blankets and 10 surgical scissors
- Habitat for Humanity can purchase 1 toilet, 2 hard hats and 3 hammers
