Commissions implemented a unique way to say "Thanks!"
in 2016. Prior to their monthly meetings, the team submits
nominations for Employee of the Month. After a person is selected
and they are recognized in the meeting, they get the department
mascot, Hubert, a glass bear painted by the team's Director. They
also display a framed certificate throughout the month and enjoy
lunch with the management team. This year, they are looking to
mix things up to include new ideas, incorporate value drivers and
continue to recognize great performers.
Similarly, the Houston office has its own original
shout-out system. Team members in Houston were so inspired
by Adam's January message, "Be the Spark," that they created the
monthly SPARK award for an employee who has excitement and
pride that takes a good company into greatness. That employee
receives a spark plug — the maker of which is Champion. A
coincidence? We think not!

an integral part of our culture and
an important practice that reminds
our teammates just how much we
value them. There are a couple of

recognition practices — starting
with the Commissions team,
based out of the Atlanta office.
