Apart from expanding our geographical footprint and being the largest acquisition from that year, our Minnesota office (formerly known as Corporate Health Systems) was bringing a solid reputation and strong local brand to the OneDigital name. Minnesota Since they've come on board, Al Hofstede and his team have made a number of improvements to their team, and we wanted to learn more about their progress in 2018. E D I T O R : What kind of potential did you see in the Minnesota office and why did we choose to partner with them? B I L L C A R E W: They had a great reputation and strong value proposition in the Minnesota market. We were really excited about the next generation of leadership when we met Al. While we had a strong Enterprise presence in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area, the leadership team was eager to make this an official hub. E D I T O R : Soon after we became partners, Minnesota moved to a new office. Tell us about that transition. A L H O F S T E D E : Well, we came from an older layout in a different city. Just a few months after the acquisition, we took the opportunity to give ourselves a refresh. It gave us a renewed sense of energy and inspired collaboration, but most of all, it really fulfilled the needs of where we were headed. It is a fresh, modern and open feel – and we have windows now! While a new space is always rejuvenating for a work environment, it also gave us room to grow. Even with a smaller staff now (Minnesota exited the administration business earlier this year), we still have a strong plan to utilize our space for a growing team. As OneDigital continues to grow in revenue, clients served, and staff, so do the regulatory and security threats to the business. Because of these threats, we've implemented new procedures that will take us to the next level of security needed to protect our client's data as well as our own. Upon seeing this announcement, we hear a lot of moans and groans because more security equals more work on the user side to ensure the security of our data. But in order to mitigate these risks, proper security measures must be taken. There's a good argument to stop newsletters, magazines, DISH posts, etc. because it's our busiest time of year. At the same time, fourth quarter presents my team with challenges to figure out how we get you to notice the important content we're sending. New systems and solutions are being introduced, surveys are being sent out, and executives need to make important announcements. However, we hope that when you get home from work and find your Fresh Thinking in the mailbox (if you don't have it yet, it's on its way), you can enjoy feature stories about our people, our offices and ways to end the year strong. Thanks for your time, and happy reading! 5 12 8 14 16 6
