We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.” – Bill Gates
I’d like to start this month’s message by saying thank you! Thanks to each and every one of you for taking the time to give your feedback, positive and constructive, in our recent engagement survey. This information allows us to evolve as an organization in the pursuit of creating an engaging and high performing environment. This survey and the actions to follow speak directly to our brand values and our commitment to create a winning culture.
I am excited to share with you that 70% of our employees completed the survey and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive about the progress we are making and the sense of pride and engagement in the organization we are building together. We can always do better however, and the preliminary summary of the feedback showed understandable areas for improvement. We will share much more in the coming weeks and months as we dig into these opportunities and look for tangible and actionable strategies.
Feedback comes in many ways and some of the most successful people I know are very adept at giving and receiving feedback gracefully. None of us are above that, and it's an important part of our culture here at OneDigital. Being open to feedback makes us better leaders, better spouses, parents and friends. Another important opportunity is to accept feedback from our customers so we can learn and improve... rather than be defensive or get frustrated. I hope each of you will BE OPEN to seeking feedback with sincerity and accepting it with grace.
Thank you again for caring enough to share your thoughts, which validate the things we are doing well and highlights areas to improve. You can expect more detailed information about what we learned and actions we’ll be taking over the coming months. You have my sincere commitment that OneDigital will always be an organization that is prepared to “listen” and will “be open” to your feedback.
